✨ Effect & Benefits:
Body bands around the forelegs and/or hind legs give the horse better awareness of its limbs.
They act like gentle feedback and can make movement coordination more precise and fluid.
📝 Application:
- Connect two bands and place them over the hips or withers.
- Guide the bands downwards and place them around the forelegs or hind legs.
- Secure the ends, for example by:
- tucking them under an existing band,
- tying them loosely, or
- fastening them with Velcro.
- Depending on your horse’s conformation and movement, the position of the bands can be adjusted slightly to achieve the best effect.
- For more stability, you can place a band around the trunk and fix the leg bands to it.
📌 Notes for Use:
- Always make sure your horse feels comfortable with the bands and can move freely.
- Start with short training sessions to observe the horse’s reaction.
- If the horse moves stiffly or uncertainly, loosen or remove the bands and accustom it gradually to the new stimulus.
- Each application should be adapted individually – experimentation is explicitly encouraged.
