🎗️ Required Material:
A band with a width of 8 cm or 10 cm.
✨ Effect & Benefits:
The head band supports relaxation in the forehead and poll area.
It can calm nervous horses, improve focus, and promote a relaxed head carriage.

📝 Application:
- Stand on the left side of your horse.
- Hold one end of the band at the left cheek.
- Guide the band under the halter up along the neck, over the forehead, and down to the other side.
- Lead it back under the halter.
- Place it loosely over the poll.
- Bring both ends together under the throat and tie them with a knot that can be easily released.
⚠️ Removal:
- Ask your horse to lower its head slightly.
- Slowly loosen the knot.
- Carefully remove the band while holding both ends firmly.
📌 Important Notes:
- The band must not sit too tightly around the neck.
- It must not slip into the eyes.
- Always keep control of the ends so they do not flap around.
📝 Alternative Application:
For particularly sensitive horses, wrap the band twice around the neck, secure it, and only then gently guide it over the ears.
If the horse is overwhelmed by this, it is sufficient to place the band just behind the ears.
🔀 Variation for Sensitive Horses:
Horses that dislike contact around the ears benefit from a wider band that sits slightly higher on the forehead.
For gentle habituation, a cloth or piece of fleece can be placed underneath.
